We’re creating 125 apartments and townhouses at Park Hill in Sheffield, continuing our transformation of one of Europe’s largest listed buildings into a dynamic cultural quarter and adding to the hundreds of already occupied homes. We’re also planning more new homes at New Islington in Manchester – a place that’s been dubbed ‘a waterside oasis’ by the Manchester Evening News. We have also submitted planning for 40 Howells-designed apartments – ranging from one- and two-bedroom homes on Old Mill Street to the east of New Islington.

As we continue our work transforming the 43-acre site surrounded by water and green space at Port Loop, we are onsite now creating 58 apartments designed by architects shedkm, offering future residents dual-aspect views across the waterside neighbourhood. And we hope to move forward with a further 500 new homes including a 31 house-scheme also designed by shedkm, plus a phase of 331 apartments designed by Howells alongside a new public park with both residential and waterside green spaces.

Our masterplan for Campbell Park iin Milton Keynes will see us create a proper 21st century community filled with around 1,500-new homes. Designs are underway for the first 450 homes which we’ll deliver in joint venture partnership with Glenbrook as part of a brand new green neighbourhood.

We actively collaborate with public and private organisations nationwide, and this year we’re expanding our relationships with developers and funders such as Glenbrook, Places for People, Grosvenor, and Aviva. We’re also working closely with Birmingham City Council and Canal and Rivers Trust at Port Loop, Milton Keynes Development Partnership, and Plymouth City Council for the Civic Centre and Royal William Yard – while our friends at Poppy Developments have created some new homes at the Yard. Exciting new partnerships are also in progress with Swansea City Council and the National Trust in Windermere.

We completed deals on 15,000 sq ft of commercial space in the last quarter of 2023 and will build on that success in the coming months, creating more well-designed places for businesses to flourish. That includes new commercial space at Park Hill in Sheffield and New Islington in Manchester, as well as work to update existing workspaces at Schoolhouse in Trafford Park and Waulk Mill in Ancoats. We’ll also complete our works at Melville, the jewel in the crown at Royal William Yard.

It’s not just about nurturing new places at Urban Splash, it’s about growing our team too, and that’s why we’re creating more jobs for ambitious new colleagues this year. Among our current vacancies is a role for an ambitious Content Creator who’ll spearhead our social channels and shape our digital presence with a unique tone of voice and a Marketing Manager who'll help deliver and implement innovative marketing strategies to support our brand values and objectives.
